I teach in the Department of Communication at the University of Tampa. As a historian of film, media, and popular music, my current research focuses on the history of collaborations between moving image and popular music industries around famous musicians' onscreen performances. I enjoy researching and teaching film and media history, popular music, media industries, sound and music in moving image media, and stardom. In 2017, I completed a PhD in Film and Media Studies at Indiana University-Bloomington's Department of Communication and Culture.
